On 27th September, 2021 a meeting was held with the Principal Secretary, Industries & Commerce, Punjab Shri Tejveer Singh, IAS, at his office in Udyog Bhawan to discuss the issue of 50% unearned increase clause in some Lease Deeds of allottees of Industrial Area Phase VIII, Mohali. This meeting was attended by Shri Anurag Aggarwal, President, Shri Yogesh Sagar, Immediate Past President, Shri Surinder Singh of M/s SGN Telecoms Ltd. And Shri J.S.Pannu of M/s Power Tracks.
On 30th September, 2021 a delegation of members led by President Shri Anurag Aggarwal met the Hon’ble Minister for Industries & Commerce, IT, Science & Technology, Government of Punjab at Punjab Bhawan.
This meeting was held to discuss the important topic of 50% unearned increase clause which is present in some of the Lease Deeds of allotttes in ELTOP Industrial Area Phase VIII, Mohali.
Mohali Industries Association in association with the Ministry of MSME, Department of Industries & Commerce and District Industries Centre SAS Nagar held an Exhibition cum Conclave at MIA Bhawan today.
The Exhibition was inaugurated by Mr.Himanshu Aggarwal, ADC(D), District Administration , SAS Nagar. Mr.Aggarwal visited all the stalls at the Exhibition and took note of the various products which were on display.A knowledge sharing session on exports and MSME schemes was also held.
On 9th August, 2021 the ceremonial MoU of handing over Phase 8A & 8B to Municipal Corporation SAS Nagar took place in a meeting held at MIA Bhawan.
The handing over of maintenance and upkeep of Industrial Area Phase 8A and 8B Mohali to Municipal Corporation by PSIEC has brought relief to the industries located in the area.
A meeting was held with the Regional Director, ESIC on 27th October, 2021 at 2.30pm in ESIC office, Sector 19 Chandigarh.
5th October, 2021: Mayor S.Amarjit Singh Sidhu along with Senior Deputy Mayor and Deputy Mayor Mohali flagged off developmental work for Industrial Area Mohali at the T-point Quark City road, Phase VIIIB Mohali.
11th October, 2021 : A meeting was held with Mayor Mohali S.Amarjit Singh Sidhu at his office in MC Bhawan, Mohali. Shri Anurag Aggarwal, President, Shri Vivek Kapoor, Vice President, Shri Rajeev Gupta General Secretary and Shri I.S.Chhabra, Finance Secretary met the Mayor to discuss the issue related to maintenance and up-gradation of infrastructure in Industrial Area Mohali.
On 13th October, 2021 S.Balbir Singh Sidhu, Ex-Cabinet Minister Punjab and S. Amarjit Singh Sidhu, Mayor Mohali laid the foundation stone for development of Industrial Area Mohali worth 13 crores. On this occasion Shri Balbir Singh Sidhu, Ex-Cabinet Minister Punjab said that the Association is doing a lot of welfare work for the society. In keeping with the promise made during one of his previous visits along with the Industries & Commerce Minister Punjab at MIA Bhawan, Shri Balbir Singh Sidhu announced a cheque of Rs. 5,00,000 lakhs towards setting up a solar power plant at MIA Bhawan. This will reduce the usage of electricity and encourage other industries also to utilise the natural resources.
Shri Anurag Aggarwal, President invited Shri Yogesh Sagar, Immediate Past President to receive the Grant cheque.
The Grant will be utilised for setting up a Solar Power Plant at MIA Bhawan.
The fourth edition of Progressive Punjab Investor Summit 2021 virtual session was held on 26th October, 2021 in Ludhiana. A virtual session was organised for the industrial fraternity at STPI Mohali. This session was attended by Shri Anurag Aggarwal, President, Office Bearers and members of MIA.
On 6th October, 2021 Allottes of ELTOP Phase VIII, Mohali held a silent demonstration to protest against the 50% unearned increase clause which is a hindrance for transfer / sale of plots.
29.10.2021: President and members of MIA visited the Common Effluent Treatment Plant which is under construction in Chanalon.
S.Amarjit Singh Sidhu, Mayor, Municipal Corporation SAS Nagar visited MIA Bhawan on 8th December, 2021 along with Deputy Mayor S.Kuljit Singh Bedi and officials of the Corporation to review the maintenance work being undertaken by the Corporation.
Shri Anurag Aggarwal, President, welcomed the Mayor and Deputy Mayor to MIA Bhawan. The present update on development work and repair of roads were discussed.
Members of Mohali Industries Association led by President Shri Anurag Aggarwal staged a protest march against poor services and facilities at the ESI Hospital & Dispensary Phase VII, Industrial Area Mohali. Raising slogans of poor services and apathy of the medical staff towards the insured persons they walked towards the Phase 7/8 traffic light point crossing.
A session on ICICI Bank Export –Import Trade services was held at MIA Bhawan on 17.12.2021.

On 21st December, 2021 an interactive session on Bosch Power Tools was held at MIA Bhawan . The session was organised by Committee for Knowledge Sharing & GMP. Shri Harikiran Singh, Chairman of the Committee welcomed the guests and members to the meeting.
S. Harpreet Singh Sandhu, Chairman, Punjab Infotech Ltd. visited ELTOP Industrial Area Phase VIII, Mohali in connection with the representation made by allottees regarding 50% unearned increase clause which is applicable in some lease deeds due to which sale/transfer of plots has become very difficult.
Members thanked President Shri Anurag Aggarwal and all Office Bearers for supporting the cause of Farmers and carrying out daily vigil at Phase 3 & 5 Chowk.
