A three day training session on Welding was organised by GIZ India for members of MOhali Industries Association. Welders were given inhouse training and classroom sessions by experts.
MIA organises Health Check up camps in association with Hospitals for Eye Check up followed by surgery, if required, on subsidized rates. Other check ups include Bone Density check, General Health check, Gynaecology, Heart and Skin check ups.
MIA provides Medical Assistance to those seeking help for surgery or advanced treatment of an ailment. Members contribute individually as well as collectively for this cause.
– Covid -19 Vaccination Camps at MIA Bhawan
On 8th April, 2021 the first vaccination camp was held at MIA Bhawan in association with the District Administration Mohali with assistance from SDM Mohali and CMO, General Hospital Phase VI, Mohali.
The Vaccination camps were open to all members and their workers and families as well as open to public on all six working days. Till date 70,000 persons have been vaccinated. The vaccination staff ( front line workers) were felicitated by the President MIA from time to time.
Individual camps at Industry premises were also organised in association with MIA. At present the booster dose camp is continuing one day in a week.
SIDBI-MIA Vocational Training Centre situated at MIA Bhawan was set up to provide classroom training on CADEM software for Turning and Milling. Students from ITI s and school drop outs who are unable to continue their training due to financial constraints are provided training at this Centre and practical training is provided at manufacturing units of our members.
Students are provided a stipend during the training period and based on their performance they are absorbed by the company on regular basis.
Mohali Industries Association took initiative of GoI has been continual activity at MIA. We have been successful in Liaison with PSIEC and PPCB set up the CETP at Chanalon.
